Another 8.9 earthquake has just rocked Japan near the East coast of Honshu, affecting Tokyo, Sendai and more today at around 2PM, local time. Tsunamis from the quake shuddered ocean water to sweep across roads, bringing in cars and debris with it while citizens panic for safety.

Not far away, a nuclear oil factory went ablaze. The Japanese government has officially released its national army and firefighters to aid the sudden devastation.

If you are concerned about a friend or family (or celebrity) from that country, Google has just released its version of People Finder. Make sure you check it out and add any information to may have about a missing person.

Countries such as Hawaii, New Zealand, Philippines and others around the Pacific Oceans are on high alert that a tsunami will hit their way. Before it hits, I encourage everyone to store up food and supplies. And do NOT speculate at the shores as if the tsunami is a form of entertainment.

Is this another sign for the 2012 end of the world speculation?

Emergency Safety Procedure

1. If an after shake strikes, hide under a desk. This is to minimize the chance of something falling onto you.

2. Open the doors in case they get stuck during the quake. There is nothing worse than being trapped during a disaster.

3. Make sure you are safe before helping others.

4. The emergency phone lines will be very busy. Use the Internet as an alternative.

5. Stay away from building or at least anything that has a risk of collapsing, such as a shelf.

6. If you are stuck, wave out the window with a YELLOW fabric as it is more identifiable than white.
