We’ve been waiting forever for pop group Brown Eyed Girls to release their new album. However according to the band’s agency; it had been revealed that the online store, Mnet.com had released the album three hours before scheduled. Because of this, the agency will be taking action against the store.
A few hours ago, Brown Eyed Girls’ agent, Nega Networks said: “Brown Eyed Girls’ 4th album, ‘Sixth Sense‘, was scheduled to be released on the 23rd at midnight and was agreed upon by all music sites. However, Mnet was the only site to have broken that contract and released it three hours beforehand, at 9pm on the 22nd.”
They continued that it is because of early releases like this, “people started to download the songs on the album illegally”.
The agent added that if Mnet does not come up with a reasonable explanation, they will take legal action.
How I see it, no matter if they released it early or not, people will still be downloading it illegally. Ever wondered why KPOP has low album sales compared to other country’s music industry?
Don’t forget many Asians these days are superior in technology.
